remington 870 combo

hey guys just picked up the remington 870 express combo. it has the synth. stock and bushnell scope on the slug barrel. anyone else shot this gun? always been a fan of the 870 just wanted to hear some input. good bad or indifferent.

Every hunting forum I have ever read brags on the 870

I have an 870 wingmaster and it is awesome.
Sorry but I don't know anything about the combo your buying but I assume it is very good.

You really can't assume anything just because it's an 870....

There was a time in the not too distant past when Remington opened up the finish tolerances in the bore on the Express models. They sold a whole lot of guns that would leave empties stuck in the bore or simply made them drag enough to fail to completely eject. They also did something with their parkerized finish that made the things rust if you looked at them while drinking a glass of water.

I haven't heard anything about those problems for a while so hopefully they fixed them.

I had a first year Express and an early model Super Mag that I have had no problems whatsoever from.

I have an early 870 supermag and Its only laid down 1 time and It only took a punch and 5 minutes to fix. The guy told me that he only sees them do this after thousands of rounds fired.

good dependable guns, hard to beat. The trap version has probably won more trap tournaments then any other gun......
However they kick like a mule. I like a more softer recoil in a gun now days. LOL
