Which would be the better firearm to purchase the browning A-Bolt stainless stalker or the tikka t3 stainless

i have one of each and love them both. i hunt more with the tikka cause my a bolt doesnt have a synthetic stock but both shoot equally well. both are 308's and shoot hornady's out of both of them. can't go wrong with either of those.

I have looked at A bolts but havent shot one. I have aT3 Lite stainless 30-06 and I love the thing. It just handles so well and shots better than I do. I would say feel them both up and see what you like. Keep in mind that the T3 is very light and mine has some pretty good heat on recoil. I love it in 06 but wouldnt consider it in 300.

Hey there fellas im new at this and dont want to wrinkle any feathers or nothing but i just have to say that browning and tikka both are overrated and cost way to much for what ya get. lol me saying this i have probably just signed my own death certificate but myself personally i shoot a remington bdl with a bull barrel in a 308 cal. my other deer rifles are savage bull barrels lol matter a fact almost all of my rifles are bull barrels. I just have to say that the newer savage rifles have the best quality on the market my opinion and not just because of the price but for all around quality. i have a 22lr , 22 mag , 17 hmr , and a 223 that are all savage bull barrels with thumbhole stocks and a couple of them are fluted barrels also. I say that i am a big savage person and not as much remington now because of the way remingtons quality is now a days. I wont lie now some of the older brownings are nice rifles but look at the price lol they should be for what ya pay for them and i guarantee i can probably out shoot most of them also or shoot right there with them with my savages. Like i say i really hope i dont upset or cause hard feelings because of this. thanks, the babe.

Welcome to the forum. It's a free country (I think it still is anyway) and your entitled to your opinion. I'm a Browning guy but I agree with you. I think that the Savage is definitely one of the best production rifles made today, no doubt. I've never owned a Tikka, but I've herd nothing but excellent things about them and wouldn't hesitate to purchase one. My advice is to handle all of them that you're interested in and pick which feels best! You can't go wrong with either, including Savage!

hey , like wise here you just have to shoot what you feel comfortable with. i have just recently got back into hunting after about a 5 year break. I had a really bad accident in high school were i fell out of a deerstand and it spooked it me pretty bad , but back to the subject lol. Myself i have owned a tikka that i purchased off of a guy that was in need of money very badly needless to say i got it very cheap under 400 dollars with scope, at first i was hysterical about the great deal i got and had to shoot it. I just have to say that i just wasnt really impressed it couldve been that the caliber was a 338 and just a little too much but i just still really wasnt impressed because what they cost new they should shoot thereselves my opinion lol. Also i am very happy to add my wife ( for two months lol ) has just recently got into hunting and is wanting to hunt with me. Guys i dont know if this is a good idea or not but were going to try to kill a coyot next weekend so keep your fingers crossed lol. PS if yall dont hear back from me you know what happend lol. And also i dont know either know if this is still a free country or not i'll have to research.

Here's another vote for a Tikka. Have one in 243 that couldn't be a better rifle for my use. When I was practicing at the range with a 30 06 at 400 yards I tried it out at that distance just to see what it would do. My buddy said DANG that's impossible! I've had no experience with Brownings, but have no doubt that a savage will shoot as accurately as the T3 and be cheaper --but never beat the Tikka for all around handling, feel, looks, features, and function. That said, I prefer to buy American made guns, so if the choice is between those two my guess is a Browning will shoot better than most people can and do everything a guy could expect out of a rifle--and still be doing it 100 years after the original owner is dead and gone.
