I'll second that GSP. I and Eddie D. plan to climb down out of a tree and go vote ourselves.

Folks, we are the only ones who will help ourselves. The freedoms we take for granted were granted by men of common sense and impeccable integrity. Let's not let them down!! Go and vote this Tues!![;)]

Amen, Extreme!

Fellow hunters and gun owners, this is the time to put partisian politics aside. We can live with what ever happens to social security, taxes, welfare, medicare, affirmative action, etc. We CANNOT live without our guns!!! It is a one-issue campaign for hunters and gun owners.

It is this simple: Joe Democrat may be the finest man in your hometown. But if you elect him to represent you in the US House or Senate, his presence will insure that Dickhead Gephardt, Dumba__ Daschle, Teddy-boy Kennedy, Chuckie (I can't think of anything bad enough that's printable here)Schummer, and Hillary Rodham Clinton Rodham (need I say more) will be in a position of power to push the anti-gun agenda.

Have you noticed how quiet the gun-haters are now? Seen any lawsuits against gun manufacturers since Bush was elected? What do you think the Clinton crowd would have done with the sniper shootings? That sniper shooting was similar to the type of thing that got guns CONFISCATED and banned in Australia thanks to liberal weasels who used the tragedy to push their agenda.

So forget Democrat or Republican in this election. Vote for people who not only support your 2nd Ammendment rights, but who will insure that the leadership of the House and Senate along with the Whitehouse will support your rights.

Above all, VOTE!!!!

Lets outlaw guns! because good people shouldn't have guns to defend themselves and families. True story 1 friday I was in Burkesville Court House, the County attorney was there. I hear gal in hall say Fred so and so is out in the hall I think she's kinda scared will you go talk to her. Couple of minutes later he comes back in and I say somthing about what I heard and he said somthing to the affect that she was a victim in a rape case he had to handle on Monday. Well that weekend the perpetrator of that case broke into Freds house with a guns blasting, Fred grabbed his gun and shot the perp as he fell dying himself and basically saved his entire family. The last act of a father/husbands love.

By the way heres a link where law makers(attorneys) created a law to allow themselves to carry guns into court.

I know a guy that is strongly against guns; wants people to be prosecuted for crimes committed with guns stolen from their house. Yet she or he drinks heavily and has most assuredly driven while intoxicated.

But you know those WACKO's Motto: Guns kill people outlaw them; But when people kill people we need to look at every reason why so we can excuse it.

Shogan, for my part, the second half of your post has no business being on this "Hunting" message board. If you want to profess your political views on "gun control" then that is a perfectly acceptable topic for a "Hunting" site. However, IMHO, your views on other political topics are not welcome here. They are much too divisive for a site that strives to unify hunters on hunting issues.

Suffice it to say that our political views are nearly 180 degrees opposite of each other. While I carry very strong opinions, I have no desire to divide this site by publicly and repeatedly stating my views and very much appreciate it when other members here of differing political views do the same.

Sorry if this comes off as a bit strong, but I come here to get some additional "ENJOYMENT" from the hobby that I enjoy the most, and I personally feel that its time to say something in order to avoid the political corruption that I have witnessed on other internet hunting sites.

Also relevent is yet another post you placed hammering politcal view point I am what I yam as you say. I hope your apology is as forth coming and as public as your condemnation.

Post from Grouse Guy:
"Multi and Xtreme, I can see some of our weekends are going to have some spirited conversations. While I'm not particularily pro-democrat, I'm definately anti-republican. My views come primarily from all the years of corporate banking (prior to settling back home in a community bank)and all of the greed, corruption and basic dishonesty that I witnessed within the party, its members and representatives within the industry. I have no doubt that there is comparable behavior with the dems and their supporters, but I have had way too much direct experience with crooked republicans and bankers to ever be able to trust much of anything they promise.
I realize that I am in the minority on this site with these views, but as Popeye used to say... I yam what I yam!"

I agree, making joking comments or one line inuendos in any forum is OK as far as I'm concerned. Let's keep political rambling out of it. Just make sure you vote today for what ever party you like.

The good thing about politics in Kentucky is that both sides have good strong allies for Second Ammendment Rights! Check the record and you'll see that for sure. The right to carry law was supported by both sides.

The NRA site is a good one to see who they support if your unsure of a persons record.

No apology from me, Shogan! The post you quote from me (like this thread) was concerning voting on "gun control" issues and/or supporting NRA endorsed candidates, which are primarily Republican. However, as Multi correctly pointed out, gun control opponents come from both parties in KY. Therefore, my quoted post was on point for the thread with an explanation of why I wouldn't be supporting the historically anti-gun control party.

OTOH, the latter part of your post left the thread topic when you started on abortion and DUI, which seems to be a hot button issue with you. However, both of these topics are irrelevant to gun control and/or hunting and only serve to divide a group that is attempting to unify hunters on hunting issues.

Bottom line I did not mention 1 single breath of politics beyond my point on a specific gun control activist that I know.

"

They are much too divisive for a site that strives to unify hunters on hunting issues" (As treasure of cyber hunters are you trying to unify hunters right now)

And I have never said.

"I'm definately anti-republican. all of the greed, corruption and basic dishonesty that I witnessed within the party, its members and representatives within the industry. I have no doubt that there is comparable behavior with the dems and their supporters, but I have had way too much direct experience with crooked republicans and bankers to ever be able to trust much of anything they promise."

Tell me why your political views and experience are acceptable discussion and mine are not. By the way I am as you say a crooked banker "funny thing is I'm not crooked"

Actually someone besides an officer of Cyber Hunters tell me why grouse is appropriate and I'm not PLEASE.

Also you said:
"OTOH, the latter part of your post left the thread topic when you started on abortion and DUI, which seems to be a hot button issue with you. However, both of these topics are irrelevant to gun control an and only serve to divide a group that is attempting to unify hunters on hunting issues." By the way your the one with his panties in a wad. They were relevent if you read it. So here we go, DUI will divide this board; are a you a supporter of DUI? So we have one word abortion. I changed it to killing people but again one word you hinged on. To say I was divise and my views don't belong here Mr Republicans and Bankers are crooked.

Actually someone besides an officer of Cyber Hunters tell me why grouse is appropriate and I'm not PLEASE.
