I use Remington or Winchester PSP 140gr and have 3 shot groups under an inch @ 100yds.

I've never used the SST's but the 139 Hornady Interlocks are acceptable in my badly bored T/C and their performance on deer is very good.

Ammo choice is like BBQ everbody has thier favorite and will defend it until the bitter end. You need to Feed your gun several different types of ammo from different makers and bullet weights till you find what your gun likes to eat. Everthing I have seen over the years is that the 7mm-08 is really a handloaders caliber. But, with the vast amount of factory premium ammo out thier you should be able to locate something.

I have not had any luck with any of the SST's I have tried. Sierra GameKings have been pretty good to me both at the range and in the field. Like it has been said you just need to keep trying different ones.

when i was hunting the sst's was the only bullets i used,,,,,,but i did my own reloads,,,,the 06 would shoot a clover leaf at 100,,,,243 would shoot same hole,,,,,of course off a bench,,,,they would drop deer in their tracks,,,,,,weight retention was right at 90%,,,,,small hole in,,big hole out,,,the recovered bullets was always perfectly petaled,,,

I have a 7mm08 and my daughter does too. Both rifles required a specific load worked up for that rifle. I would STRONGLY suggest you start reloading so that you may work up an extremely accurate load for YOUR rifle. It would also save you a bunch of money per round after you get set up. The loading equipment will last a lifetime.

Ditto on this. most tikka's are capable of well under 1 MOA accuracy. reloading is most likely the only way you'll ever see it. besides saving money, it's a lot of fun.
