I've got a Remington 12 ga semi-auto Sportsman 48 / 30in full .. that I've had since I was 14. Gun was given to me by my great uncle and belonged to his son that was killed in a car accident in 1974. Definitely a keepsake to pass down for sentimental reasons. Blue shows some wear but the stock is still in real good shape. I use to hunt with it a lot... gun never jammed and the action is still as tight as it came from the factory. The 48's & 58"s were some good guns... seem they dont build them like that anymore.
It too... was my first semi-auto 12ga to shoot and at the time it was definitely a step up from the 12ga bolt-action JC Higgins I was using. Still have that old gun as well. I have a hard time parting with firearms after some memories are built with them.

I have a 16. My grandfather used it for years hunting squirrels and rabbits and it was left to me when he passed.
It is a beautiful gun and truly one of my most prized possessions in the world.

I have a Sportsman 48 in 12 ga. It was bought new in Germany around 1948. Has a CUTTS brand compensator and shoots great. I'd like to find a 20ga of the same variety. ;)

I have a 58 in 20 gauge. It has a 26" barrel, in improved cylinder and ventilated rib. It was the first gun i ever bought with my own money and also my first auto loader. I truly love that gun. have shot a truck load of rabbits and doves with it. Still as tight as the day it was new and in the words of a famous hunter never fails to go " boom, boom, boom". My step dad used to have a 58 in 12 gauge with a plain barrel that i would have loved to have owned but thats another story for another day. I used to think i wanted other barrels for mine but have only ever seen two...a full and a modified with ventilated ribs....guy at a gun showed had em but wouldn't sell em...said he wanted a gun for them...then got mad at me when he found out i had a gun and wouldn't sell it to him.....i got the last laugh though when i told him i could shoot what i have.....lol.IMO these are some of the best guns remington has ever made. Mine doesn't get used like it used to but i still take it out at least once a year for old time sake. I just can't stand to let it sit in the safe and not get to use it. The kids also enjoy shooting doves and clays with it.

Im glad to here that im not alone ,they are a beautiful peace.I had a 20 bought but the guy tried to up the price 200 dollars when he saw how bad i wanted it.Did you know that a 870 barrel will fit and all you have to do is drill the 2 gas holes under the barrel,i have a 24" 870 barrel with choke tubes on mine ,the non vented barrel gut bent in an accident years ago so i herd one would fit and did the drilling my self, works great.
