This is not your typical classified ad looking to get $ for a cast-off.

I am a dedicated foot hunting, thick cover grouse hunter and I have a young dog that needs a different type situation to shine. If any of you are open country quail hunters or field trailers (or know someone who is) pay close attention.

I have an eight month old (born 2-27-02) male english setter who has pointed and held his own wild ruffed grouse at 7 months old in northern Wisconsin. He is out of top grouse dogs (both sire and dam on premises) and the pedigree can be faxed to anyone interested. This pup is big running and bold with a lot of point. High head and tail w/style, and would "naturally" honor his litter-mates on sight points at 3 months old. This pup should mature into a solid 60+ lb dog with plenty of legs. He is black and white with a black head w/blaze, medium ticking and no large spots on his body. IMHO, he is the most beautiful setter that I have ever raised.

I have two litter-mates to this dog who, quite frankly, are making better grouse prospects, which is why I'm offering this dog to the "right" person for him to achieve his potential. Price will not be the primary consideration in placing this pup, as I have raised him from birth and spent considerable time with him, and truly want to give him the proper opportunity.

If interested, post here on how to contact you or email me. The pup and parents can be viewed most evenings and/or shown in the field most weekends.
