After some research it appears to be a Belgium made a reproduction of the Colt Lightning M 1877 revolver. The mail order house Johnson Smith purchased quantities of the TEXAS RANGER during the 1930s. The caliber is 32-20.
I for one would not try to shoot it and would say worth $25.00 on a good day at a flea market. I know thats not what you wanted to hear, sorry. but still an interesting piece.

As stated before, it's a super cheap old Belgain knock off, but of a peacemaker, not the lightning. The lightning was a double action gun.
What makes you say that it's not shootable? Is it shot loose or missing parts? From your picture, it looks like it might be a fun little gun with some TLC.

I pestered my "gun guru" about this, and here's what he had to say:
Pistols like this were made from turn of the century all the way into the 1980's. They are generally on the cheap side and if they have an alloy frame hardly worth the effort to fix considering the likely issues that need to be addressed. Yes the caliber is 32/20. It's a fairly hot round and just as expensive to buy.
Hope this helps you out. If all it needs is a good cleaning, the by all means, clean it and burn some powder.
