Hunted for years with them old 37 Winchesters and kinda get the urge nowadays to hunt with em again sometimes, but haven't had one for years. Are the H&R's or NEF's singleshot 410's decent shooters for squirrel hunting, and is there any difference's in the models??

Not really much difference between brands. I own a .410 Singleshot H&R Topper M-58 since 1969, when I lived in Indiana & hunted mainly Squirrels & Rabbits. Mine is a decent shooter with #5 or #7 1/2 shot; even shot a groundhog once with a rifled slug with it. It's a light & handy little shotgun to carry and shoots very well with 3" .410 shells.

dad got me one when i was 5 and have been using the .410 for 25 years now. the only downside i ever had to the .410 was when i was hunting in a patch of tall (80'+) pines and it didn't have enough butt to get the squirrel out with one shot. one shot kiled him but would't flip him off the branch he was one, it took a couple more to get him down. aside from that i've never found a reason to not use the .410
