Two or three yotes can sound like twenty when they get all wound up. One thing that would encourge more taking of them is for the fur prices to go up. Other than that go buy yourself a call an take up yote hunting yourself. Kinda hard in Kentucky not being able to use artifical light so you can hunt them at night when most active.

A hog hide and a 243 works well.

LBL has got to be the worst. I backcountry camp when I go there, they will literally keep you up at night with that incessant yipping. Very few things I will shoot with no intention of eating, but coyotes are definitely on that list.
Trapping is the one thing that could really keep them in check, but like Duster said fur prices need to go up. Not many folks trapping now.

Even buzzards won't eat a yote........I've seen lay for months & just dry up & blow away. Nothing will eat the "stinking" (literally) things.

Fur prices would have to go way up before I would skin one of them goat-stinking things out. A "yote" is the only critter that I shoot and leave lay.

Here is a thought I heard on KY afield!

Coyotes eat primarily mamals (coons foxs etc) the creatures that affect poorly birds such as quail and turkey.

They may stink but they might have a purpose (other than target practice)
