Transfer Registration?

I have a handgun i want to sell that is registered to me.How can i get the registration out of my name and have it registered to someone else?Can this be done?Can someone with a federal firearms liscense do this?I wont sell as long as its registered to me.

What do you mean by registered? Are you talking about the check they did when you bought the gun from a dealer?

Yes.And the serial number of the gun has my name on it.

There is no such thing as registration...yet (except on TV shows). If you want to be able to prove that you sold it, then a simple receipt with the make, model, S/N, date, name, address and signature of the buyer will suffice.

Good info GunCat. One more thing, almost forgot. Make sure the individual is 21 for a handgun.
