6-14-09 what did you do today chat...

I cut the grass this morning, hoed up the garden and pulled some weeds out of the flower bed. Made some sunday fried chicken-with corn on the cob, and just sitting her watching nothing on tv. had some pretty good storm clouds roll by about 5 pm with just a bit of rain. Going to try and catch some night crawlers here after dark...So what did you all do today?

Watched the CWS and ate the best Bar-B-Q in a long time Gonna have SEC showdown with Ark and LSU Monday. Boy called from Kansas City driving back from round one....I remember the days ..... no sleep for days...party... then go to work... the torch has been passed!!!!

Got up packed the tent and stuff, and headed home from Kentucky Speedway. Got to the house cut the grass, and have taken it easy the rest of the day.:)

I spent some of the day at the pond chasing kitty cats. Shot a few groundhogs out of the brush piles, and am getting ready to dine on some fine Mexican cuisine.

Saw my wife & youngun off this morning.... their heading to Charleston, SC.... with my inlaws for a week on the beach. So far they have made it to Asheville, NC and going to drive the remainder tomorrow.

I picked up my mom and took her out to dinner this afternoon. Stopped by WallyWorld to pick up a few garden things I was out of....sevindust & miraclegrow. Came in checked on who won the race...glad it was Martin.

Since I'm batching all week ...no wife & kid.... I'm enjoying the peace & quiet. I'm either going to shoot my bow a little before dark or sit in my drawers & watch tv.... possibly both. :eek:

he kicked mine yesterday. He even took pity on me and pointed out a couple spots where he thought I might catch one. When I didn't head on over to the spot he pointed out, he walked over to it, dropped his bait right up against the bank and yanked out a catfish:eek:

Got a brisk ride on the VFR early this morning when everyone else was asleep. Got some heat in the new tires & knocked off the slippery stufff on the edges.
Took a quick dip in the pool, still a bit cold.
Missy RR made crab legs for lunch & I cooked dinner later. Then we watched a good movie (Grand Torino). Then I worked on my 12oz curls for a little while. Life is good....

Took my grandaughter out to lunch and after a visit for a couple hours we said our goodbyes for the next 9 weeks while she is in Basic at Lackland and we go down for her graduation. Other than that not much.

Worked in the yard all afternoon, grilled soem chops for supper. Now I am getting ready to tuck the princess in. Ealry congrats Muzzy! Hope everything goes smooth!

Monkey got over ruled by a sick wife. Had leftovers instead.

Joe took me out today, and whooped up on me and my brother. After I hid the chicken livers from him, I started catching up quick.;)

i left friday morning for huntsville tn. four wheeler riding at brimstone. had alot of fun, awesome place to ride. got back early sun. morning, mowed the yard cleaned up the four wheeler helped wife can 28 quarts of beets and grilled out some t-bones.
overall i had a great weekend, now gotta get some sleep for monday

Got drunk off of bourbon. Ran out of bourbon. Started drinking beer. Caught my rooster and took pictures of me cuddling it. Grilled bratwurst. Played guitar while sitting in my hammock. Pretty much the perfect day. :)
