Had this good lookin gal loose in my house for 2 days. Found her in the middle of the parking lot late at night, put her in my 10 gallon tank but she escaped the next day. Upon looking for ger I found 20$ under the stove :D
2 days later I noticed my cats outside on the porch, went to see them and they have the snake playing with it. I put it back in the tank, took some pics and let her go.

Do they have that pattern when they're little? I thought it was a Milk snake???

I did too. Caught a big milk snake in the hay field not long ago and he looked very similar. I bet they have that pattern when they are little to fool other critters that might want to eat them. Just my guess...

Yeah, Black Racers have the pronounced pattern when they're young and after a few weeks they darken to this:

We found some eggs while running the tiller through the garden when we were kids and stuck 'em in a fish bowl. One day we had 6 of those little boogers staring at us when we checked the bowl.
Here's a good PDF on KY snakes:

Good stuff, Quickdraw.
I actually did a little researching too. That snake might also be a juvenile Black Rat Snake. They also apparently have similar coloration/markings when they're young.
These guys kept a journal of their herpetology search in Johnson County, Illinois. They found a ton of snakes, some of which I didn't know resided in these parts. The last snake picture was the juvenile black rat snake, which is very common in Illinois and Ky. It seems similar to Master B's.

No, I didn't remember.
I think you caught yourself a Milk snake though. Look at p. 17 of the KDFWR snake guide that's linked in Quickdraw's first post.
