Interesting article. I see NJ is also mentioned, and yes, the black bear is a major problem here throughout much of the state. Officials had stopped the bear hunt in 2004, I believe it was, and has not reinstated it, as of yet; however, they will have to take action pretty soon. The ANTIs have convinced the Governor, ect to use other means of controlling the bear numbers, but none of those methods really work. :rolleyes: Taxpayers have been paying for so-called bear proof garbage cans and other stupid programs. :eek: Hope they don't wait until someone is mauled, especially a child, before they muster up enough common sense to deal with the problem, the way it should be. Bear hunt should be reinstated ASAP!!
