Any of you guys remember this show? We about knocked all our teeth out trying to cock our Red Riders like that.
I am thinkin my next gun will be a '92 winchester. Is there a modern replica?

Cornpile, Thanks for the memory jog. I had to look up "The Rebel".
HOTH, Thanks for the info. That's just a little more than I'd want to spend for a rifle in these times. Wonder what you could get one for without the Chuck Conners portrait?:)

I had to google it to remember what it was. The Cisco Kid. I remember trying to get my family to rush home after church so me and my cousin could watch these westerns all aftrnoon on Sundays. Then when they were over we would go outside and reinact everything we had just watched. Those are great memories!!:)

Hey Pancho wheres Cisco?? someone said that on the show!!! Cisco Kid. Hey we must all be 60 ish right!!!!!!!! Yea it made us violent to play coyboys and indians all day didnt it. Can you still buy cap guns in the toy store chains?? Probably not . Dad always laughed at the way they shot the pistols . kind of snapping them down as they shot. The bullets would be in the ground if you shot that way. And the bad guys wore black hats and the good guys white. Heck it was in black and white anyway. Except Bonanza if you had a color tv back then most didnt!!

Well, am not an old guy, but am an old gal and I enjoyed the music and the memories of those scenes. Remember ALL of the ones mentioned and enjoyed watching those old Westerns. I feel a few hours down at the pistol range coming on, one day this week. :D Thanks for making this old gal smile. ;)
That's my favorite show.
Here's an interesting site with the scripts of all the episodes.

They were playing daily back to back episodes of "The Rifleman" on the Stars Movie package, don't know if they still do or not. A few years ago they also had back to back episodes of "Combat" on daily every weekday morning at 0900.

I'm not an old guy either, but I wish they (Stars movies) would start airing "Combat" again. That was a very cool show for TV

I'm not technically an "old" guy, but I remember the first TV w/ remote that we had was a big ol' console television that had a two "button" remote that clicked at a two different metallic tones. One was for increasing the channel and one was for increasing the volume (they'd start over again from the bottom once you reached the limit.) Funny thing is, the channels and volume changed anytime you jingled a set of keys nearby! I remember watching the Challenger shuttle blow up on that TV set when I was snowed out of school on my birthday.

I remember, back in the '50's & early '60's we had one TV set that was Black & White. When we turned on the TV in the morning we had to wait a few minutes for the set to warm-up. Then we got a "Test Pattern" with a picture of an Indian to tune in the set. When we turned off the TV the picture would go down to a small light dot that faded as the set cooled. I also remember TV shows during the 1950's like Ding-Dong-School, Captain Video, Winky Dink & You. Well better stop....showing my age!:)
