Hey guys,
I was wondering if it's too late to transplant trees? I always heard that planting needs to be done in months that have and "r" in them. This excludes May, June, July, and August. What do youins think and know?

it is late to dig a tree, we don't like to dig a tree of any size past march. that being said, if you can find bare root trees (order from a nursery) or potted or b and b trees somewhere, you are still pretty safe putting them in the ground as long as you can water them the rest of the summer.

You can plant anytime if you want to water the rest of the year,I've had more success in late fall and early spring. We planted over 5000 seedlings a few years ago here. The drought killed some, but most survived. They were all done in early December and March.
