whats the deal with ammo(havnt been on the forum for a while)

whats the deal with ammo everywhere i go i cant find what i want and when they do have my particular caliber in stock all they have is the highest dollar ammo they make. Im having trouble finding 357 mag ammo for a reasonable price. or anymore any ammo for a reasonable price.

by the way really starting to like that stoeger double sxs combos 20/12ga any opinions or comments...ive never owned or shot a stoeger

I looked real hard at the stoeger. Made by a firm in Brazil, had some quality issues but service was good. I worry about what happens when they stop importing them and the supply of parts dries up afterward.

Also, the 20/12 combo is all on the same 12 ga frame, makes for a very heavy 20 gauge.

It's Obama's fault. He's bottlenecking the supply and raising prices.

The never ending and ever increasing conspiracy theories and legislation introduced by fanatical gun control nuts have fueled panic buying. Alot of scared firearm owners and profiteers have been buying any ammo they can find, which has kept the shelves bare and inturn increased the panic. This has been going on for many months.

My advice is if you need the ammo TODAY find what you need and "pay the price". If you can wait a bit ammo can be found at near normal prices. It takes getting placed on waiting lists and/or back ordering and sometimes just being in walmart at the right time.

The people spreading the conspiracy theories are shooting themselves in the foot. In the end they will be in the same boat we are, standing in line "Paying the price".

Just from what I have been reading on other sites it MAY be letting up a little - I'm hearing of people finding things they haven't been able to for a good while now. Let's hope people have spent themselves out on panic buying and things will get better soon.

Obama might be at the root of it, but it all comes down to panic buying at a rate much faster than ammunition companies can keep up while running all out, 24/7. It stinks for the casual shooter, but it's great for the industry!
