Am debating primarily between these two unless something else truly grabs my attention.
What are the pros and cons of each?
POST EDIT/ UPDATE..............I was just reminded by Westkybanded that only Benelli guns will kill ducks so I will include the SBE II to the short list.
Thanks

You cannot kill ducks without a Bennelli. It's a fact.
Besides that, I had one of the first model of Xtrema and it swung like a telephone pole. Shoulder them both, and see what fits best.

I have been in the blind with my share of fancy 3.5 auto loaders since they came out. All of them jam clean or not usually when a rare bird such as a pintail locks up and glides into the decoys or during fast action wood duck hunts. by far the browning gold seems to be the bread winner. 11-87s seem to suck hind tit. Do yourself a favor buy an 870, or a nice O/U if you must spend that kind of money. My 870 cycles no matter what length of shell you feed it and has cycled cases of ammo with only 1 malfunction compared to several malfunctions a hunting trip I have seen with auto loaders. If its an auto loader you want save your shoulder buy a remington 1100 or an x2 and shoot 3 in. They kill ducks just as dead and saves money all the same.

I love the extrema2 and i hunt with a guy that shoots a sbe2. Having shot both the xtrema2 fits me better.
xtrema2 pros- never jammed, shoots any kind of shell without changing anything, the rubber on the forearm does help, natrual point of aim (for me) shot it for 4 years, very light kicking with the kick off technology.
sbe2 pros- very light, forearm design feels nice, thats all I can say due to not owning one.
xtrema2 cons- Improved cylinder choke cracked(replaced no questions asked) a little heavier
Sbe2 cons- very light (3.5" shells kick like a mule), has jammed a half dozen or so times.
All in all, either one is a great gun.
As far as an 870 the originals were great guns. The supermags are junk from what I've seen. I owned one for three years and it was extremely picky about shells and jammed constantly. My brother has one and has the same problems. His also broke the ejector when it was 2 years old. I personally wouldn't have one.

Any of them will make a serviceable waterfowl gun. Shoulder them all and buy the one that fits and points the best for you.
The primary pro of the Benelli over the others that you have listed is that there is a lot less fouling with the inertia system over the gas operateds.

I like the SBEII, the extrema 2 is just to bulky! The SBEII swings much smoother and quicker!

Save your money and buy a used SBE (original). They are a ton better IMHO than the II and half the price.

Shouldered the SBE II, the M2, and the Extrema today. The Benelli seems a bit smoother and I like the fit and feel a bit better.
Am seriously considering the M2 and only shooting the 3" shells.

I'm not sure about the Extrema but the Benelli will come with stock shims so that you can adust to fit perfectly.

LOL
I have an 28 inch barrel SX3 and I like it better than my buddies SBEII plus it cost about 300 dollars less but yeah whatever feels best for you put them all up to your shoulder and swing it around narrowly avoiding smacking someone in the face with the barrel. :D

Must be a newbie.
The Duckmen were die hard Browning shooters for about 9 videos until the year before last.

The Xtrema 2 does come with shims. I had the SBE 1 and a super X 2 before finally settling down with the Xtrema 2. For me personally nothing fits and swings like the Xtrema 2.

I personally shoot an Xtrema 2 and love it.
My f-i-l shoots a Winchester Super X3 and it is a hell of a nice gun too. It feels very similar to me in relation to the pull length, etc.
I am pretty hard on my shotgun and have never had a problem with it. Wet weather, duck hunting, turkey hunting, sporting clays, etc, etc.
You just have to pick what works best for you in the end. Don't let price be that much of a factor when choosing. If you are going to shoot a lot, pay the extra money if you like the more expensive gun. You will not regret it. ;)
P.s. If getting an Xtrema 2, don't let them get you with the KO. IMO it does not make that much of a difference.

Thanks.
Shot an Extrema yesterday at a SC course and it shot very well.
Would like to shoot the SX3 as well but to be honest am probably going to just keep huntig with my Mossberg until I can come to grips with the higher prices of these choices.
