Wondering if anyone has shot this gun. Looking to buy a new muzzel loader and wonder how this gun shoots. It is a good looking gun and I like how easy it is to clean.

2 of my buds have them,1 a .45 and the other a .50. the .50 is drillin X's @ 50yrds w/open sights. the .45 i dont know about but did take an 11 pt last night so it cant be bad either. the omega design is so simple it makes me sick that i didnt think of it[:D]good luck on your decision and sory i couldnt post sooner

my buddy has a .50 cal omega, and is quite pleased with it. heard from others that its been a good shooter so far. why not... its the same twist etc as the proen black diamond.

as for the .45, i heard from several sources, non official, that TC recalled a bunch due to too slow a twist choice. the 1:20 requires a very long buller ( heavy) and this sort of negates the point of a .45 for a lot of guys. ( lighter/ faster/less drop). i imagine they are going to a 1:28 in the .45 omega. i wouldnt buy one till this is resolved, imo.
