I am mad as heck at the local newspaper. Henderson County High School is 3 time National NASP Champion and they stick them on the back page!! What the fire!! On the front page is a man mowing his yard with a reel mower. Big deal, going green. Does anyone else have the same problem? No news coverage or just stupid coverage? Why not put the article on the front page of the sports section, nooooooo that has something about Hopkinsville leading the regional teams matches HELLO, THIS IS HENDERSON NOT HOPKINSVILLE!!! I know how hard the archers work, and I know it must upset them. I know it really gets my goat. Wonder if the newspaper will cover the grand opening of the new practice building that was not suppose to be able to be built? (Said our parents couldnt raise the money!) HAHAHAHA! They did! Okay one more thing. We have the best parents in the world, they will bust their tails for the team, I must say I have never see a group of parents so involved and so caring. Thanks parents!! Okay some of you may think I am crazy for being upset, however when you watch this kids work so hard and then not get the press coverage they deserve, just riles me up.

The Gleaner has always had a severe case of Evansville envy.
They bend over backwards to be liberal, and a dangerous, violent sport like archery isn't going to fly well with them.

My best friend is from hendo, I have tried to read that rag they call a paper and have determined that I would not wipe my but with it in fear of catching some kind of liberal lying disease.

The Messenger-Inquirer in Owensboro is awful all they want to talk about is downtown development and how happy all the city and county leaders are because they passed a tax that was strongly opposed by the public. They also stick old sections in with the new paper aleast twice a week.

I thought the Gleaner had a good story about the archery team. It may not be front page but was good none the less. A guy I work with had his son take 5 th place in the highschool divison (Ethan Gish) from Henderson. They are doing great but other schools are closing in on them. I hope they continue to do well.

I used to teach some of the archery kiddo's at HCHS a couple of years ago. They would be seniors this year. They take their sport serious but nobody else does. Its a shame. Something to be proud of if the people in Hendo would realize it. (obviously the parents do)
