I've been hunting the first part of the season in lewis co. killed a two year old opening morning sense then not much in the gobbling department. So this weekend I'm head to Breathitt Co. I've killed birds there before in the last season. Just was wondering if the birds are gobbling good on the ground or still with hens. Hope everyone having a good season and hope it gets better in the next two weeks.

I hunt Breathitt, and its been a very slow year where I hunt even up to this point. The gobbling has been very little if any at all. Hopefully it will be picking up. While I was driving back from OH this morning I saw several groups of strutters in the fields off 75 and none of them had hens, or so it appeared. Its hard to be certain when your in traffic. This was at about 9:30-10:00. I'll take the lack of hens as a good sign...:D
