Just MY Luck!

Went hunting sunday night on my Uncles farm. It was me and my cousin and we was facing a fourwheeler trail in the woods. Well about 6:45 i herd something behind us. About 15 min later i see a goblers head. The bird kept coming closer and closer. My cousin didnt have his gun up so i swung my gun over and shot. The bird dropped, I got up then he got up started running. Then flew off with the 4 other birds behing him. I dont know what happend. We know i hit him cuz he droppend and flapped his wings. He was 25 yards away.

Sorry about that one....tough lesson to learn. Just try to make sure that your gun is always in your hands as you're walking up on him, or you keep that beed on him until you know he's flapped his last wing-beat. The good thing is you got plenty of time to redeem yourself. Good luck!
