View Full Version : 4 beards = great morning on the "100 acres"
Great morning a buddy of mine and I went to Full Struts honey hole and found pooh bear running around on the "100 Acres"
Three long beards flew out and this one came into the field about 300 yards out then closed to 150 yards and stayed and strutted for 40 minutes. Then he made the Fatal mistake of coming to check out the two hen decoys.
About 45 yards out he walked no stop in a full strut until I could not let him come any closer. At 20 yards he was done.
He had 4 beards 10 inch, 7.5 inch, 6 inch and 4 inch, 1 3/16 spurs and was 19 pounds.

Glad you had a good hunt, Wolverine1 missed the boat when he did not go hunt the 100 acres, it hasn't been hunted since the youth season. Great bird and one of many multi beards we've killed must be in the genes. I told ya yesterday afternoon that ol' poo bear was roaming around the 100 acre woods.
