going in the mornin just curious how well they were talkin today...on roost off roost????? thanks guys and gals;)

they were gobbling good on the roost but when they hit the ground it was nothing at all maybe one gobble every hour thats it

guys im not hearing anything!!! i know toms are in the area but im just not hearing any gobbling! i think it may be the heat, well thats the only thing i can think of that would make them not want to gobble. ive harvested one bird but i still think there are toms in the area bc ive seen a bunch of hens around here, im hoping after the rain tuesday and it gets back to seasonal temps they will start gobbling again

Having more luck with toms responding to the calls on up in the morning. The birds I've been hunting have gobbled good on the roost but soon after they fly down they shut up for quite awhile. I'm assuming these birds are with hens and have no need to gobble until the hens go off to nest. Later in the week and next week should be prime time to connect for those that haven't filled both tags yet.
