I killed a jake last Sunday. I had it breasted out and in a bag within 20min. Then a two hour ride home, put it in the fridge. Question, will the meat still be good after being in the fridge for a week. I have been planning to fix it but things keep coming up. If you all think it will be good I will fix it tomorrow.
What would you all do?

I don't like to keep anything in the fridge for over 3 days, but if it's not got a slimy film on it and it smells OK the deep fryer should make it edible.
If it has any odor I'd trash it.

what we usually do if we arent gonna eat the bird that day or the next we get a freezer bag and fill it up with water and put it in the freezer but just for a short time until then we thaw them out and deep fry them

It was one of those things where you keep saying I'll do it tomorrow!
I froze one of them so not all is lost.

I vaccuum seal mine after cutting it up. Do our deer the same way. That sealer is the best money I've ever spent.
