I let my son have first chance this year. Well yesterday he got his first turkey. He slept in this morning and let me have my chance. I got this ole boy about 1 1/2 hours after daylight. He was gobblin his head off at every call but just would not come on in. After cuttin and getting him real excited I decided to shut up and let him come find me. After about 20 minutes of not calling back to any of his gobblin, I seen that red head a coming really looking. Once he got in range it was game over.
My son gets his first on Saturday and I get one of my best birds on Sunday. Pretty good weekend. 23 lbs, 11 in. beard, 1 1/2 spur.
