Did anyone else have problems getting birds to talk this mornin or was it just me i hunted 2 different tracks of land and not a peep,,

same here! nothing until 745 and he only gobbled because i started racket with cutting really hard n fast. Works almost every time. Hens have taken over badly. Maybe next week

Brutal, just brutal. Between the dang gnats/black flies, gale force winds, non gobbling birds, and oppressive heat it was a long long long day.

even though my day was a overall crap, I also did not hear a single bird gooble this morning, me and the wife went out this evening tryin to roost some birds. We seen 4-5 fly into a tree off in teh woodline, but never could get anythign to gobble...

Same here in butler co. West side not even the 1st gobble. Heard a few last sat. None to day. So i came home and broke my littlr garden.

Brutal, just brutal. Between the dang gnats/black flies, gale force winds, non gobbling birds, and oppressive heat it was a long long long day.i had to give it up around 2:00 pm it was to dang hot with all my garb on. When I was comeing out of the woods i bumped 3 different hens off there nest so they seem to be laying heavy. You would think the gobblers would be out looking for hens around midday. I have been hearing at least 6 gobbling on the roost so I know they are there but they are very tite mouthed. This is the worst I have seen it. Surely they will break loose soon.
