Around here anyway..Seems like we cant keep the ground dry long enough to get anything in it..Then what I did get out the last dry spell has been growing pretty slow due to the weather/ground conditions..Got everything re-plowed yesterday and now we'er wet for another week

I was worried a few weeks back about the lack of soil moisture when I plowed ground......I'm starting to feel better now with all of this rain.
My peas, onions, lettuce, spinach and mustard are growing well with the moisture. We planted about 800 lbs. of taters yesterday, I'll plant the other 100 lbs. or so in a week or two.

Mine was finally getting dry enough to work...again. Then about 9:00 this morning we got a gully-washer... bet we got a inch or better in about 30 minutes. Looked off the deck... both garden spots completely covered by water.
I'm pretty much figurin I'm going to be later than normal this year. Usually have most everything planted / set by the fourth weekend of April. Dont look like thats going to happen.
I have a suspicion come June .. we wished we had a little of this rain.

All our peas are gone as of this morning..Rabbits got thru the fence and clipped them all off  One of our gardens is fenced in and has always kept the critters out..Guess the rabbits dug in on me..Ill have to lay traps before they get to the cabbage and head lettuce..
My red pontiacs are up good, the yukon golds are a bit behind(thats to be expected though)..Onions and bed lettuce are doing well but its been cold here and they havent grown like they should..
I had a real brainfart..I forgot where a row of yukon golds were and half the row got plowed up..LOL, we stuck them back in the ground but boy was that ignernt'

Dogwoods are just starting here, we generally have a little cold snap when they are in full bloom.

I am afraid of the same thing.
My Spring garden has been in the ground for a while but isn't really kickin butt.... at UK they are saying its been really cloudy and not much solar radiation for optimal plant growth.
I have 100 tomatoes in the greenhouse and don't know how long it will be before I can plant them.

I hope the work we did on saturday was not wasted. All day to put in our garden from one end to the other. Tomatos, squash, cuke's, green beans, potatos and sweet corn all went in the ground over a 7 hour time frame.

Calling for rain/storms here this afternoon and again tomorrow night with this cold front. It's supposed to stop raining and be 80* or more by the weekend. That will start to dry things out pretty quickly and kick everything into overdrive, including my grass. :(

I got some taters in the ground Saturday,I'm waiting til the moon is right for the maters and beans
It's been 10 days since I checked mine. Eveything was doing good, hope the taters spouted and did not rot due to all the cold rian we have had.

Planted 8 rows of Funks g-90 sweet corn. I will follow that with another 4-8 rows next week and maybe some silver queen if I can find seed. My gurneys order finally got here I had several seeds substituted and some backordered.
