He had better not be lying to the FBI. That can land a feller in Federal Prison. The whole thing seems odd, what could somebody get for this, money, his job, ruining his marriage? Very strange, these sort of things happen, but how many times to a coach?

I think that the CJ has done a pretty good job of investigating and reporting this thing.
Since the person who is allegedly extorting Pitino has a lawyer who says that she is the target of a federal investigation and may be charged with a federal crime, it's looking pretty bad for her. Defense lawyers don't generally say that their clients are a subject of an investigation and are likely to be charged with the crime being investigated. They usually say that it's all baloney and that their client is innocent.
Your assertion that Pitino is an adulterer is an unfounded one, Max, unless you can prove it. Would you, yourself refuse to pal around with an adulterer? If so, I suspect that a lot of your pals are going to be off of your list.
As for owning a mega-car dealership, would you really want to own one now? Two of the big three are on the brink of going broke. Once bulletproof import sales are down. Maybe Pitino is too smart to make such a dumb investment.
Oh yeah. One more thing. Look at the Fox 41 video. The alleged perp is on there. She's a bit of a bowser. If a guy with Pitino's fame, money and personna were out looking for a little extra-cirricular whoopie, I'm sure he would easily find someone who is table grade as opposed to looks like the main component of creamed corn.

1. I don't honestly think Pitino is guilty, but it is fun to watch the show.
2. Does the name Hugh Grant ring a bell?
3. Pitino has owned a portion of a large car dealership here for almost a decade.

On another note,
Does anyone else find it strange that Little Pitino leaves Dad for Florida??....and a couple days later Dad is in the national media over allegations of an affair. Whether Rick did it or not this seems a bit strange to me.
I do agree with you though Daking, her lawyer's statements are very interesting.

1. She's the defendant alleged of extortion and "there are no counter allegations"???
2. He's a defense attorney and he says it's going to "proceed to a logical conclusion". Most defense attorneys would be predicting exoneration for their clients.
Based on what her attorney is saying it seems like this is all gonna fall on her. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

I've only heard bits and pieces of rumors but ran across something interesting on the net today by googling "pitino abortion". The internet is what it is and anyone can submit posts or articles with whatever degree of truth that they're comfortable with. I'm sure more of the story will leak soon. This version seems to fit a little better than the homosexual rumors. Anyone think that it's pure chance that Rick's son recently changed programs?

I seriously would not want to quote Young Mr. Lintner, he could very well be on the verge of getting kicked out of WKU's journalism program, before he get's his first assignment with the College Heights Herald. He has not taken Basic Reporting 101 yet!
Start your own reporting on Bleacher Report, they have no standards or requirements and you can post sources names and then take them off, the put them back on, then take them off again. There are no standards, until the FBI is involved. You could even call yourself a sports writer. Of course, you wouldn't get paid and they are not going to have legal representation to help you when the feds are sniffing at your door.
I would be willing to bet that on a real news site, television station or radio station this would not have been reported. Those folks have lawyers that specialize in media law that advise them if something is suitable legally or not. That is the reason that WDRB hasn't run the interview with the ACCUSED!
The other thing that hasn't been mentioned here is that Pitino IS NOT THE ONE BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE FBI! It is the accuser, wow what a coincidence! :rolleyes:

First, I concurr about the bleacher report. I read that several days ago, and like you said, anybody that wants can put whatever they want on there, and even remain anonymous in doing so. I wouldn't take anything they say as even remotely reputable.
The only thing I disagree with, is the assertion that the FBI is not investigating Pitino, so that makes him the innocent party. I agree that he hasn't committed a criminal activity ( and her exorting is criminal), but I hardly think he is innocent. The few details that are accurate, that have come out of the interview, is that something happened over 5 years ago. Why would he wait so long? He even said himself that he didn't contact the FBI until she went public. So he isn't mad about the extortion, but rather his public image. He went on the offensive because she went public, which is merely a PR move.
I have no idea what happened, I just think its funny guys like Ate-Up get on here crying when anybody even mentions the fact that Pitino may have done something. Like it would be some huge stretch if Pitino slept with someone outside his marriage. Me thinks Ate-Up will have egg on his face AGAIN once all this has been sorted out.

I agree Slick, I don't know if Pitino is guilty of adultery or anything else. That being said, it is not against the law to have an affair and it seems the focus by most is on Pitino and not the one being investigated.
I have not heard the five year thing, in all honesty I thought maybe little Ricky was playing around with a cougar and that is why he left to take the same job at Florida.
