anybody out there pick ginseng? ive always known of ginseng but havent ever looked or picked any. I just recentlly took a college course on Ginseng and found it interesting. I think im goin to try my luck at pulling some this fall. Does anyone here do it? if so do you do if for the $$ or is it to much work for to little $$??
also if there is anybody reading this with some good pointers on finding morelles please post some for me!! I cant find them anywhere, i know im in good woods but i havent trained my eyes for spotting them yet...:confused:

everytime ive seen it pulled it broke unless it was in a moe hill or something.

Wrong time of year for morels. I bet you ain't found a one if you are looking now. Try under ash trees and around old apple trees.

If your going to start looking, now is the time to do it.
Something to consider, plants under 5 years of age can't be sold, so don't bother digging the small stuff. How do you tell? Without digging it up it's hard, good rule of thumb, if you think the plant looks to small, it probably is. Leave it and check it out again in a year or two.
