So i have to admit, when it comes to country music im a little sexist. I really am not a fan of very many ladies that sing country music. But there are a couple ladies that i really do like. Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood are probably my 2 favorites but there really isnt much more after that. Well my question is who are your guys favorite female country singers?
later in the thread i asked what is your favorite country song...so you guys can answer that too...

Heck no, he's far from a one hot wonder. His newest CD is one of the best ever in my opinion. Hes wrote some great songs for some of countries biggest artist. Have you ever read his bio, former Marine. The newest song off his CD, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiMdb2MnYr8 ,is another hit if the radios would play it, its a little on the hell raisin side and Clear Channel seems to shy away form them type of songs.

Let the idiots open their mouths a la Dixie Chix. Shania is another anti-hunter who's albums I've had to re-purpose.
Miranda has always been smokin'. I don't think Taylor Swift is country, but I give her credit, she does write her own songs.

this man has been writing country songs forever. most of the songs that you listen to are what he wrote. now hes starting to sing his own music, believe me he'll have some good music coming

oh yeah i knew that he has wrote a ton of songs for other guys but it seems like in color is the only that the radio wants to play. im not much for buyin cds so i dont ever really hear it unless its on the radio. but that song high cost of livin is a pretty good song. even though he sings about getting high...haha...oh well...to each is own i guess.:p:p but im just hoping that some of his other songs hit the charts soon...i really like jamey johnson!

I see the year was 2001 for the bit on Shania. Maybe, she has gotten some sense by now? Think she is divorced now? Tofu has got to be the most unappetizing stuff, IMHO. How can they not enjoy a nice juicy steak or whatever?

I sure would...as long as I didn't have to listen to her music while watching:D:D:D
I change the station when Carrie Underwood comes on. She's a proud HSUS and PETA supporter.
She is indeed...but I'd still throw a few ones her way while she was on the pole...:D

I agree...I'm only 26 but listen to country that most people my age have no idea it even existed.
Of the newer singers, I'd have to say Miranda Lambert

I'm right there with you. Try walkin around on a college campus everyday like I do...you would think that I'm the weird one:D Oh well, life goes on for me. I've been told by some old family members that lived in Alaska that if I had been born about 80 years ago and moved to Alaska I would be in heaven. I am tryin to talk my wife into moving there one day now...but it isn't working:(
Heidi Newfeild is pretty good too...forgot about her. I probably haven't listened to the radio in a couple years except for Bob & Tom and Sunday nights bluegrass on 92.5 in Owensboro
