My son and I hunted Ft. Knox April 11th and we had B Mobile out and 2 hens. The birds flew out and after about 30 minutes they worked there way over a small rise and could see the set up at the edge of a field. This strutter was following 2 hens until he saw B-mobile then he broke away from his two girls and came down the edge of the woods and around infront of B-mobile then the show was on. He would bump up to the decoy and strut around and around him trying to pick a fight. My son was sitting beside me and when he was ready to shot the Tom bumped B-moble again and with the movement of the decoy my 11 year old put the red dot on poor old B-moble and blistered his head. The Tom stood there looking around so I put him to sleep. Looks like B-mobile will need a little touch up. The bird weighed 20 lbs, 10 inch beard with 1 inch spurs

I did the same thing. Put a little more red on mine's head and snood as well with some paint from Wal-Mart. Made it look more like my full strut mounts.

Poor B-mobile! I had the same thing happen last year while taking someone else. He killed the turkey, but body shot my decoy. I'd bet your son doesn't ever do that again, especially with dad telling his embarassing story on the internet.:D

Looks like the real bird ate a Nitro! Must be 100 pellets in that head.

He will be happy to see the story when he gets home from school today.
He loves Turkey hunting and can't wait to redeem himself. But I have to have a little fun out of him. I will print the photo of the decoy and frame it for him.

Congrats on a great hunt and a memory that will be told for many years to come.

If you don't mind me asking, what area were you hunting? I killed one in area 1 Sunday morning.

Looks like the gun has a tight pattern on it from all the shot in the bmobile

He was using a youth remington 870 20 gauge with a rhino choke and 3 inch nitro's. It will tear up what ever you shoot at 40 yards.
