Curious of what everyone else is seeing or hearing. I seen birds early and heard a few gobbles on different farms. Spent all day on a farm pond Sunday but heard no gobbling. Heard one bird who was very lonely around 5-o'clock. Birds I seen in the morning were with on the average with 2-4 hens. No birds with large harems. Did not see any roaming birds all afternoon. This was on the same farm I watched six toms out walking by themselves throughout last Saturday afternoon.

The week before the youth hunt, I heard 6 different birds from one spot, all gobbling long and hard. I've made 3 more trips out there, and heard 2 birds, gobble once each on the roost and they were a long, long way off:confused: Not sure what's goin on out there, but hopefully it will pick back up.

Spent about two hours walking some public land I plan on hunting last Saterday. I was walking with my wife and we were conversational so we wern't exactly stealthy, but we saw 5 birds at least 2 of which were toms Looking foward to next Saterday morning.

I don't know about everyone else, but I've seen more birds this year than I can ever recall. They're in normal spots in huge numbers, new spots in huge numbers, even places I've never seen a turkey before there are birds strutting. If what I've seen through central Ky. is any indication of what it looks like everywhere else, I'd say most could tag out with a flyswatter in a few days:D......

You know....I'm not sure if it's because I have been..uh hum..."off of work"(thanks GW Bush). and had more time to scout...or if there are more turkes this year. But I agree....I have been seeing and hearing 'em friggin' everywhere.
