well for you guys who hunted this weekend lets hear how it went. How were the woods, roads, ect..? I've always been draw for the 1st weekend but due to college i put in and will be hunting next weekend. Ill be camping at Wranglers. I missed my chances to get down and scout this year so we are just gonna wing it and go the area's we are firmilar with:confused:
Who knows if the weekend will produce, ill just be glad to get out for a weekend and enloy the woods!!

You may be in for a surprise.A lot of areas Ihave hunted were tore up by the ice and did not see or hear any birds last weekend scouting.Very little gobbling Sat.Sunday gobble good on roost then got lockjaw.

this was the same thing I ran into during the youth hunt 2 weeks ago.

Sounds like to me next weekends hunters got in the way of last weekends hunters, from what i hear!

Thursday morning heard a lot of gobbling,:D Friday little bit less,:) Sat. & Sun. not much at all, only in isolated areas.:( Did get lucky and took one down Sat. morning, around 8:00 a.m.:D The woods is a mess, can't walk twenty yards without walking over some fall down.:( Can't even think what it would be like to drag a Deer out of those woods.:eek: Good luck to all.
