I was outin the woods running some young fiest last Saturday before all of the rain and saw two hen turkey with their poult . One had only 5 and the other had between 15 & 20 . I have never saw so many with a hen. They were about the size of a quail. All of this rain this week had had to take a toll on the young birds. What do you think?

rain and cold do take a toll on the young poults but turkeys are known to be one of the fastest if not "THE" growing of all hatchlin's my guess is if they were already the size of a quail they will survive
and with this being a cicada year i dont think they will have to hunt for food

Little poults born in low lyin area's run the risk of drowning! Im guessin that many poults are closin in on being big enuf to flitter to a low limb, which the severe thunderstorms must be a real threat to keeping them in the tree's! And since many storms were at nite, that can't be good. Hopefully it will turn out OK.
what u get out, is what u put in
