Did it also take you 100 hours to get home? I've been to several tracks, but jebus h that was the biggest mess of getting traffic moving I've ever seen at a race.
Race would have been a lot better if the brat didn't win.

Been once and it was awesome. I didn't think anything could be better than Talladega.

Bristol is one of the few tracks left where you can be on top of everything that happens. If you liked Thunder Valley in March, give it a try at the night race in August. ;) It's even better IMO.

Been once to the spring race and three times to the night race. Great track with good views everywhere and lots of action. Like I tallushrt said the traffic is terrible. The night race is awesome and you can stay Saturday night and leave Sunday morning and not hit so much traffic.
Haven't been in a few years, but we used to camp next to the track at the red barn campground so you could walk to the track. We would get down there Wednesday night. On Thursday go into downtown bristol for the race car festival and then go back to the track at night to watch the parade of haulers. If you have to buy any groceries or supplies while there, go into Virginia and avoid the high taxes in Tennessee.

Anyone else beside me have an opionin on why Bristol is all of the sudden having a hard time selling out??? I personally like the racing better after the work they did 2 years ago but I think the rest of the fans have spoken. Maybe they took a good thing and messed it up. But who in Nascar would do something like that? HEATH

The racing is ok, but they took away some of the action that the fans like. Not as much moving people out of the way, and a lot of people are just flat staying at home and saving their money.

No track is selling out ahead of time like they were doing in the past.

Everytime Mikey gets in a car it gets messed up so whats your point?:D:eek:
A friend of mine and I went to the spring race last year. We stayed in Farmer Bob's campground for the weekend and walked to and from the track as well. While the spring race is fun, the night race is a blast. We went to it 5 or 6 years ago and stayed in the Red Barn campground with some buddies who made the trip down before us.
We are once again going to the fall race this year. This time it will be with the ladies in tow. Neither of them have been to a race before. I couldn't think of a better event to take them to for their first experience. Rooms are next to impossible to find close to the track and they will not camp.

I went down with my wife and son. We actually made two trips, one on Friday and again on Sunday. We went Friday to the fan fest. My son (and wife) are huge Tony Stewart fans. They had to take a chance of getting to see Tony. Cameron said all week long that he was going to play Rock Band with Tony Stewart. I told him not to have his hopes to high so he wouldn't get disappointed, but he wouldn't have that. As luck would have it, Stewart and Harvick pulled 6 people from the crowd to play Rock Band with them (3 groups of 2) and I'll be dog gone, my son (9 years old) was the first one they chose. Harvick also let him pick the 6th one. After the games were over, Cameron went out back with him for pictures and autographs. Needless to say, Cameron's whole weekend was all about his adventure with Tony Stewart :). He was even on Sports Spectrum Saturday night. My favorite driver won on Sunday though, so it was all good :). I hope that I'm not the only person that is a Rowdy Busch fan. That guy drives closer to the style of Dale Sr as anyone that I have ever seen. Jr can drive pretty good, but only when he's about to be lapped by Busch. I still want to know why the caution came out the first time that ole Rowdy lapped Jr. I think it was because the officials were afraid of all those Jr fans rioting on them. Don't get me wrong, I'm still hoping Jr gets some of that fire and desire to win, but it's not looking good.

Chrisj I saw someone had written on the back of their truck window "I played rock bank with Tony Stewart". Wasn't you guys by chance?
Who you kidding by saying that Jr can drive. He is WEAK.

I'm with you chrisj, Kyle can win. But NASCAR discovered that the 18 team was cheating. After their dominating win at Bristol, and wins on every track configuration in Sprint Cup, they came to the conclusion that the 18 was the only car with a "Driver".:D

I did have the pewter colored Chevy that had the rock band statement on it. My son made the wife put it on there. It was originally set for an 18 to be on the back window on the driver side and a 14 to be on the passenger side and a big lightning bolt down the center :).

Well I dont have a favorite driver I dont really know who drives what for what. Although I did really enjoy the race Sunday I enjoyed the one on Saturday even more because the traffic was a lot less but most of all my wife went with me and we dont get that much alone time together. Sunday her uncle went and I did have a great time would have just rather have had her with me. A guy in front of me passed out before 100 laps, talk about mad after paying $125 for a ticket I would have been ticked.
