I lost my best friend last night. She was 65. Not young, but not old either. I could type a post 2 days long on things she taught me.
All you guys on here who smoke, better think about giving it up. It wasnt the only thing that killed her, but it certainly didnt help.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you in the time of your loss.
I was just talking to a buddy a few days ago about taking my Dad (mid 70s) fishing. He loves to go but gripes constantly if we don't start catching fish before we get the boat off the trailer and it continues the entire trip. I really don't think he realizes he's doing it and how bad it makes me feel to have to listen. I think how pleasant it would be to spend the day not having to hear it then I realize that day will come and I won't be able to listen to it when he's gone. SO, I keep carrying him and listening. We do have a good time (for the most part). I know there are lots of folks like my buddy who would give anything to spend another day with their parents, even if it meant having to listen to the complaints.

Sorry for your loss.
I agree 200% about the smoking. It is what killed my mom. Will never forget i stayed with her one night in the hospital one week before she died, and she looked at me and said if she could have just one wish she would wish she had quit smoking when the doctors told her too a few years earlier. Will never forget that. My dad and sister both stopped then.

Sorry for your loss, she was too young.
My mother could go any day now so I'm just trying to spend as much time with her as I can.

There is no easy loss, but mother's are especially hard. A friend once told me that there is no lonelier feeling than when you lose your mother. She's the one person on the planet who always has your back. I dread the day my mom is gone. Hang in there buddy.
