It's turkey hatching time, so no surprise that the weather has turned ugly. We have had two bouts of rain in the past two days here in Henderson, about three to 4 inches worth! Nest's in low lyin area's R in trouble. Lets hope it moves out for at least a few weeks!

I noticed we've got alot of rain an it could endanger the hatchlings. so does anyone think that there will be less turkey this fall?

I always thought it was the cold rains that got em, but I am sure this amount of rain can't help.

its really not looking good...some showers dont bother them but i feel the repeated all day rains could take its toll on the chicks..however if need be hens can and will re-lay another clutch
