What kind of ammo do you use in your turkey gun. I hear alot about remingtons but i myself love the whinchester supremes 3 1/2 inch shells. they dropped 3/4 turkeys for me

Use Hevi-shot and you'll get the whole turkey.[}:)]

Don't know about Hevi-shot on turkeys, but I can tell you it will knock the stuffings out of ducks. I shot ducks this past season and killed them clean at ranges I normally would have even taken with steel.

I use the 3" Winchester High Velocity 1 3/4 oz #5s. They pattern super through my Kicks Gobblin Thunder .665 choke. Took a 23# bird on the 11th of this month at 32 yards and he didn't even flop. You really need to try several brands and pattern, pattern, and then pattern some more. If you haven't at least torn your rotator cup you haven't patterned enough[:D].

Nitro Ammo for me. I got tired of the big 3 changing their load components every couple years or so and letting us, the consumers, find out about it the hard way, so I spent some $$$$ on the different Nitro laod combos until I found one that all my guns liked. Now when I need ammo I just order the same load # and I can rest assured that it will be the SAME as the ammo I am patterned for.

i prefer winchester supremes 3 1/2in. #5s w/ a kicks 665 choke tube. I use a benelli nova pump. its a brand new gun and we killed 5 turkeys w/ it this year out of 3 people! all 50 yards or more. Stick w/ the winchester supremes!

At least i dont kill jakes. I didnt kill anything for a good reason, There was a bigger gobbler in the field and he had passed by just out of range 3 times. Thought he would pass by again so i didnt shoot!!![:)]

gobblergetter, areyousure you are correct on those ranges? It would be easy to believe if you killed one or two birds over fifty yards, but 5? Give us a break with the exxagerations. You need to get a grip[xx(]

No, we never killed 2 birds at once. There were 5 different birds THAT WERE KILLED AT DIFFERENT TIMES with my gun!![:D]
