Has anyone tried the clothes was for ticks compared to using spray...I don't know where you hunt but them little little little ticks will pack their happy way up and on you where I hunt if you don't spray down...now I know it may not be bad where you hunt because I have hunted places I don't have to worry but the area I hunt most you can see little black clouds of them on your clothes if you don't spray down...OH YEA....I HATE THEM:mad:

I usually hunt in Central and Eastern Kentucky. We don't have too many of those critters around where I hunt......BUT.....me and a friend on here (mcdenney), I won't mention any names......went to Butler County to look at a piece of ground to lease for hunting. We no more than got back in the vehicle...and noticed that we were covered in those things. I've never seen so many of them. Especially around the waistband and ankles. We picked them off of us the whole 3 1/2 hour trip home. In all seriousness...I believe mcdenney found out that he was very allergic to them. I'll let him tell his story.....if he wants. :D

Makin' me itch too just thinkin' about them.

Clothes or Spray? I really don't know that there is a solution to the tick prroblem. I hunt in Eastern Kentucky on an old strip mine and the ticks can be awful. Some years are worse than others. My suggestion is to just make sure you check yourself thoroughly when your done hunting.

Soak your clothes down according to instructions and check yourself often is pretty much the best way!

I got the bug proof clothes 2 years ago, and I haven't had a single tick on me. It works.

Will Underarmour do the same thing as Cabela's BugSkinz?

I purchased Cabelas Bug Skinz clothing last year. Used last turkey season. Did not work!!!I had so much tick infested bites I had to go to Doctors and finally The Hospital..
Hundreds of bites. Became infected. Several dollars and weeks later finally cleared up.
I also used the sprays on boot tops, bottoms of pants, shirt collars, belt line etc. These tick larva were immune to all......Seems to halt large (dog) ticks and some deer ticks but the larva size were unstoppable...

You can also use tape to secure your pant legs to your socks then stick them in your boots or shoes I do this in spring and summer then spray down and it does help. I go through a roll of duct tape a year. I love it when I take someone with me and offer them the tape and they say no I dont need that and then they call me later and want to know if I'm itching all over like they are. I work outside on the farm just about every day and I dont have much problem with ticks when I do this. We have lots of ticks here just as bad as LBL if not worse. I find them all over my 4 wheeler, all over my clothes even in the house where I have taken clothes off but I dont get to many on my body maybe 1 to 3 a year. Ive had some real bad cases of ticks in the past and if you ever do you will probably do everything you can to prevent it. Taping your pants legs really helps.

Oh Yeah I forgot to say if you do get a case of ticks or what some call turkey mites shower down with lice shampoo and it will take care of your problem. I use the walmart brand (equate) its cheaper and 1 bottle usually last me all year. I am no expert but this is what works for me... :D

I agree, turk2di! I use Deep Woods Off and it seems to work okay for me. Everyone should still check themselves when they return home. Lymes Disease is out there and cases are on the rise, nationwide, according to last Summer's report. ~ Be very careful guys!!
