I use to shoot and shoot and shoot turkey loads to counts pellets etc etc...but for those who are going to start shooting new guns this may help...

There is all kinds of talk about this load and that load...but I have started shooting soft drink cans and bottles at different distances...they are about the same size as the targets we are shooting (turkey head).

You will find out the differences of 4's 5's 6's at 40/50 yards real quick as far as power etc...

Don't get to caught up in the choke game...There is nothing wrong with a more open choke...we very rarely get to shoot from a bench at a still target in the woods...the wind blows your pattern off more than you think and when you shoot to tight of a group it is easier to miss...the pellet count is good on paper but dont forget you are wanting to not just hit the bird but kill it and shoot a good pattern...

FILL THAT BOTTLE OR CAN FULL OF HOLES AND YOU ARE READY TO GO

I just bought my son a youth Charles Daly 20 auto. We went out to shoot it for the first time yesterday. We both shot it a couple times with the x-full factory choke to make sure the gun was not shooting crazy. He was wanting to shoot a can before we got done and the only thing we could find was some full beers that my nephew had. Well I sat one up on a fence post and he EXPlODED it at 25 yards with #6 game loads. He thought that was the coolest thing. I put the mangled can back in the box with the rest of the full ones as a surprise for my nephew.LOL :D
