Hoping my Dad's luck will turn around

My Dad has been chasing turkeys now hard for about 4 years and still hasn't been able to connect. I wan't the guy to kill a turkey more than anything, and I try my best to leave my gun at home when we hunt, but he insistes that I take it.

Last saturday I was supposed to go to our local NWTF banquet with him, but I got down in my back and just couldn't go. That lucky son of a gun won a camo pump shotgun with the NWTF logo on the side! And to top it off, last year he won a NWTF statue of a turkey, and some guy offered him $400 for it.

I'm just hoping that with all this luck he is having at the NWTF banquets, maybe it will rub off on him in the turkey woods and he will harvest his first gobbler this year.

He is actually taking off the first two weeks of turkey season to hunt. I can only hunt on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday so keep us in mind when the season gets close. I just want the old man to get the thrill of killing a bird finally.
