Market down in the 6800 range, hard to beleive! More layoffs here and there and meanwhile ding bat hillary is over there promising the dumb dumbs in Gaza that she's giving them 900 million to help them rebuild. What BS, they tear up everything being total idiots and our tax dollars fix it back for them.

AIG is also asking for an additional 30 Billion, heard some analysts say that that brings the real total AIG has recieved to well over 150 Billion dollars!!!

I don't even see most the people that voted for that dang Obama being able to support things like this when there is people here needing help.

I'm tellin ya, with each passing day I can see more and more what Barney has been preaching for the past couple years....... A revolution could be in the making, I'd like to see these big time CEO's/crooks drug out into the streets to all the angry families! It would be a good time for justice.

Good Lord, Man! We're having a recession or economic slow period, NOT A NUCLEAR WAR!

Just to let you guys know that not everyone is expecting the end of the world. I'm getting a huge raise at the end of this month, my financial portfolio is in good shape and I'm trying to take full advantage of this weak market.:D I'm not stashing away any food just yet.

The market does look "attractive" at the moment! I think I would wait till its below 5,000 tho, and then just rape it, instead of just taking full advantage of it!

I still think the market will bottom out around 5000, maybe lower.

I don't know how to say it but Rush Limbaugh hit it out of the park Sat. afternoon in his speach to CPAC.

Oddly, in 1997 when the market was below 7000, is when a lot of people made a lot of money on Wall Street. The market reached 10,000 in late 1998, something everyone said before that point was not possible.

BUY! BUY! BUY! Stocks are on sale fellas!

If it was gasoline dropping like that, you'd go out of your way to sit in a line to fill up. But when its stocks, everyone runs the other way.

This is perfect for the government in power at this time. They now have more reason to take over more control of the private sector. Its working out great for them. They pull the wool over more peoples eyes and let them think only the goverment has the answers. Im sorry to say that there is no light at the end of the tunnel as long as Obama spends us into the poor house and taxes us to death.

I was watching the talking heads on MSNBC today and they were asked, "What will it take to get investors back in the market" and "Why are the big players holding on to cash and not buying stocks?" They talked about needing more "transparency in the financial sector" and all kinds of other nonsensicle blather. Not one had the guts to just say the real reason, i.e., Why invest in companies that will be nationalized by a socialist government?

this is so far from what we've seen in the past it's pathetic......... yes before when we had a slump, the market might slide 10-15% one year and next year make up for it and ppl start making money

but now we have the govt wanting to take over our financial markets, going absolutely wild on control....

quite a bit different situation than making a tax cut or something to stimulate an economy in recession...

our country has never seen anything like this.........

however, there is a long list of countries that have tried to do the same thing that the united states is currently trying. none of them have succeeded.. all of them have failed, and the people were the ones that caught it in the hind end...

wasn't long ago i saw dow 14000, now i'm looking at dow 6700.... this isn't like the economy slowed down for a few quarters and shred some baggage, it didn't stop at 11k, or 10k, we're down probably close to 55% from what it was in late 07!

obama and the gang are throwing money around that our pockets can't carry! Suppose the spending stopped now, we're still on the hook for more than some people can handle, but we're now looking at universal health-care and stuff such as that. The govt could run such programs but they can't be trusted due to corruption and greed, which is why we are where we are today. You folks patting yourselves on the back who have health insurance and such, don't realize you can be denied any time they want you to, or dropped without any reason. The doctors on these boards get paid by how much money they save the companies, politicians have been bought by the insurance companies, and your healthcare is controled by them now. It's that way in any big business now, there has been so much under the table funny business that it's catching up with them and there trying to hand it all to us to take care of it!

Hang em high boys!
