After being without their services for 17 day due to the ice storm. We got our first bill....estimated usage...they missed the meter reading by a bunch..$38 and change. This latest bill is for more than we used the previous month without a outage.

Do you think next month bill will reflect the overcharges ? Knowing this bunch running things here I place my bet on no.

I think that after you get a actual reading all should equal out. I would have to imagine that meter reading was on a hold or at least behind schedule do to all the mess.

I'm sorry but I see no reason they couldnt read your meter. I think they're full of it

He needs to go thats for sure. 17 days without water because the Central City water plant lost power for two hours. Heaven help us if we ever have a real disaster.

they have it back now, this is still fallout from the aftermath of the ice storm. From what I understand, Duster is right about the ability of the people running the water dept. to pour pee out of a boot with the instructions printed on the heel.

Never a boil warning issued for this area

We got water back after everyone in the county. Seem by day 15 everyone was up and running but our little development. Once I found out everyone had water back except us I started with the phone calls. To give you an example of how brilliant those running things are. I was standing by the storage tank and placed a call to the district office. All I did was ask why we don't have water yet when the rest of the county does.....Well we got a guy there right now opening the valve....that pissed me off..here I am standing by the tank and not a soul in sight and I told them I gotta call BS on that story so....huh...well...huh...the guy is on his way. 30 minutes later..time to drive from the office here comes a dept employee. He didn't even know were the shutoff valve was, he just stood there making on phone call after another till someone pointed him in the right direction
