There was an attempt to add a week in the spring for archery only and that was NOT passed by the Commission. They extended the fall (October season) to 7 days. Read the post by Xtreme "Commission Meeting" in the Cyber-Hunters Public section, there are a few more details there.

Too late now to change anything for next year. Season changes happen on schedule, and any changes won't be discussed until next time. I can't even imagine how a rumor of expanding the spring season could even get started when the kill and hatch have both been down slightly the last two years? Expanding the fall season is said to have no effect on the overall population.
