I'll be at the March meeting. Any possibility of a Cyberhunter "pre-meeting" before the actual meeting so we can have an idea of what is going on & what will be on the agenda?

We have a "pre meeting" here every night. We will know what is on the agenda ahead of time. Hopefully F&w will have their website updated to include the agenda by then. If not I can find out from Roy G. ahead of time enough to put the word out what the agenda is.

Fear not, march will be on all of our minds[;)]

It's not on the web site as promised....X-how about asking Roy for an update on the Dept. web site.

Xtreme

I did. He said they are haveing to follow some guidelines for government websites. He is pushing for a "Commisioners Button" He also said he does not have the agenda yet. He is gathering the latest on Auxier Flats as well. I'll try to call him tommorow if I get a chance and see if I can get more info.

The latest on Auxier Flat, the ADD board is taking RFP's, and at this point the only developer to submit a proposal is from Indiana. The time period for this is about 6mos. Their looking for about 10 RFP's to be turned in.

Xtreme

Okay, I'm tired and not thinking up to speed. What's an RFP? Does an RFP concern us?.....Ignorance is bliss and I must be happy right now huh?[8D]

GSP
10-23-2002, 09:33 PM
I'm guessing a "Request for Proposal"

Xtreme
10-23-2002, 09:50 PM
Okay, where an how do we act on these RFP's?....[:0]

Multidigits

Why not submit one to leave it like it is or to build a nice deer check atation or something the hunters could use nearby????

Highbow

Maybe because Tom Bennet has already agreed to give up whatever property they want to use.

Birdman
10-24-2002, 08:54 AM
GSP is correct on the RFP and Multi is correct on making a proposal. Anyone can make a proposal on any location, not just Auxier Flats. With that, an impact study must be preformed on each site. The site with the least impact on the environment will and be law must be excepted.HA

Folks, I just heard from Roy G. The agenda is not due in from the Commisioners until Nov.4. At that time or the day after the agenda will be posted on the dept. website.

Extreme ,

Where in the F&W website does F&W plan to post the agenda??
Looks like it would be very easy for them to post the announcement and agenda in the F&W's webite "Calender of Events".
If thats not the plan , please pass it on to Roy, as somethin' to consider.

Hey Valley! They shoe horned the agenda into the dept. website the last time. I understand that they are going to try to make it much more user friendly, Roy is wanting a section regardeing commission issues that will be imformative for every one. They have to go by government website guidelines. What all this is I don't know.

We are makeing progress. The info that was put out on the last commision meeting saved the day on a couple issues[;)]

Last week, I emailed Gailor about the agenda. He either didn't know or didn't want to say. His email said he would forward my email to the proper person with the department. NO REPLY as of yet.

I feel we were thrown a bone the last time and the Dept. has no intentions of sharing the agenda with us until it's to late to act.

Absolutely Multi! IMHO, the Dept posted the agenda last time because they were unprepared for our request and didn't have time to develop a strategy to keep the information from being posted. They have now had time to develop a plan, which the "excuse of the quarter" from Roy is now, "We have to develop our web site per governmental regs and that is taking longer than expected". Expect a different excuse NEXT quarter.

Birdman, sounds like its time to drag in the Attorney General again to give the Dept another lesson on "Open Records" and "Open Meetings".

Further discussion on the Dept's tactics and our response should be moved to the "Member's Only" section.

Guys--Most of you know this, but the Commission meeting agenda won't be set until the Committee meetings are held on the 13th. Those meetings decide what the Commission votes on and and what is considered for change. The Committee meetings are separated into 3 groups-Fisheries, Wildlife and Administrative.

I'm not sure if something not discussed in the Committee meeting can be added for discussion during the following Commission Meeting??? Anybody know? The key is to watch these meetings and be sure nothing is slipped through the cracks. Adequete time should also be given to voice support or oppostion on matters through our Commission reps.
