Would this be a doube spur?

I have never seen one, and the only ones I have heard about are located next to the regular spur. As you can see this one it at the knee.

Buddy of mine killed this bird in Western KY.

looks like the "dew claw" is missing ,and a new one thied to form. dont think it is a spur most i have seen will be next to the other. and all spurs i have seen will grow on the inside of the leg.as a taxidermist i have seen a lot of turkey feet. some with all toes & some mising. knots & all kinds of things so i dont think this is a extra spur. but then i have been wrong before.

It looks like a spur to me.Same color and all.

Very interesting. It appears to be the same color as the spur and made out of the same material. You might try emailing George Wright, the former state turkey biologist. His email address in always in the back of turkey call magazine. His add is for guiding ocellated hunts in Mexico. His address starts with ziggy I believe. I guarantee he can tell you.
