Some of the transmitters have been off due to power outages. The one at Farmington in Graves County just came back online a few days ago.

I believe their transmitters are also chained together for the STLs (Studio to Transmitter Links) where when one goes down the others "downstream" from that one also go out.

MSU airs KET-2 on our local cable station when not in local programming. I wandered up there to check things a few days after the ice storm and we were down because we were taking the signal from Farmington (which was off the air). Since the Paducah transmitter was working I just took their signal for rebroadcast until Farmington came back up. May be a similar thing with your dish. Depending on where they're getting their signal, it may be out because a particular transmitter is still down.
