Has anyone else taken advantage of all the free firewood laying around? I took a load to the farm today and plan to take a couple more in the next day or so. Here in Lexington there are tons of it laying around. Folks have cut and stacked the wood on the curb for disposal. By the time Im done we should not have to worry about firewood at deer camp for a while! We did the same thing during the last ice storm. It seems ashame to let it all go to waste.

I will have plenty as soon as I cut the BIG oak that fell right in the middle of my food plot.

Cut 3 trees yesterday and probably have at least 10 or more to cut on our farm. Also have 6 trees that will make good logs to sell once we get them out.

Cut up at least three BIG pickup loads of ash and maple at the SIL's but it's 80 miles to the farm. I already had probably 8 big loads from some dozer work that went on last fall. I didn't have time to cut it up yet. Haven't been down there yet to look at the damage cause one way in has been flooded and the other way in had just about a mile of road buried under trees and limbs or so I was told. Firewood ought to be cheap this fall and the campfire at deer camp will be a big'un..

I think that Ash makes some of the best burning firewood.
