A friend and I went on a 3 day camping/fshing trip in Ohio County at the Peabody WMA. We caught 2 large coolers full of bluegill the size of small saucers. We also saw turkys EVERYWHERE!! Walking up and down the roads, in fields, near water, all over the damn place. Saw a bunch of hunters as well, but didn't hear a shot all weekend. Next time we go fishing I'm taking my shotgun :D

It ends like everywhere else in KY, May 5th. I hope they were not hunting.

Wonder why turkeys were still being checked on tel/chek 5/07/04, 48 hours after season. Shows a total harvest on tel/chek of 26,389.
Legal turkeys must be reported the day they are harvested and should have been included on report 5/06/04.????
I was also wondering if nitrox28 and his friend were aware of the season dates for hunting turkeys in Kentucky. Also, what kind of hunters would be out this time of year? There isn't a season in right now, is there?
A bad day hunting is better than a good day at work.
He didn't say when he saw these turkeys. If there were hunters out this past weekend, they could be hunting coyotes.

It was this past weekend. Wasn't aware the season was over. I guess that's why we didn't hear any shooting. Dosen't really explain all the hunters though. Anything else in season right now?
Turkey ended Wednesday May 5th. Coyote is all that's open (year 'round). Maybe they were scouting for Sept deer season or something. How many were out there?

Nitrox, if u thought there were alot of hunters @ Peabody this season, just wait til next year after they read what u wrote. They must have been tied up somewhere, calender watching. Be on guard for dope growers and meth-lab scientist.
what u get out, is what u put in
