Obviously you only paid attention to Bush...not the president before him. Oh crap...I forgot...he was the greatest ever:rolleyes:.
Too many people don't understand how a government works. Bush was handed the crappiest situation a person could get after being in office...he handled it the best he could...atleast he had the balls to stand up and do something about it. I wish he would have been more honest and open about reasons, when we all knew them anyway. But oh well, thats history for you. Name one completly honest president...
Heck, if you want to think about it...for those people sayin BUSH is responsible for high gas prices(which is completly ignorant)...they can now say BUSH brought gas prices down to the lowest they have been in over 8 years..but then again they have no idea how things work in the first place

For such a well versed and "exceptional" orator he sure struggled following along with CJ Roberts on that oath of office.

He then said that 44 men had now taken that oath. Not true Barack. Grover Cleveland took it twice.

I am just kidding liberals...obviously someone else wrote his speech for him and should have known how many different presidents we have had. And as for the botched oath, it was as much Roberts fault as it was Obama's. It was almost like he was trying to screw him up.

I'm sure all that had alot to do with it. If you read the end of my post I put most of the blame on Roberts. He didnt exactly do a great job of leading Obama with the oath.

I am sure he will have much bigger screw ups in the years to come, so I will give him a free pass on this one:D

You claim that we can find sources from the "right, left & moderate" that will tell us that Bush is the "worst ever", but the sources you cite are all far left. Why? Where are the moderates & conservative sources you say exist?

Why don't you just say that Bush is the worst president b/c Arianna Huffington, Al Franken, George Soros and Sean Penn said he was???

The first article from HNN regarding how 101 historians have determined Bush is the worst president ever was written by Robert McElvaine, a Huffington Post blogger and WAY far left liberal. I'm sure he's going to give everyone an objective view.

Your second source is from Harper's Magazine, and is simply a re-hash of the HNN poll and was written by another super lib. He did make one interesting observation about objective historical analysis that he then completely ignores: "Now in all fairness, historians should wait a while before passing judgment on a president’s who served recently, much less one still in office. But the current incumbent is a special case."

It's hysterical that Horton (the Harper's journalist) would make make a statement about "fairness", and then ignore the golden rule of historical examination and journalistic objectivity by citing McIlvaine's analysis as being unbiased. Like anyone's really surprised that a writer for the Huffington Post wouldn't call Bush the worst president. Lemme guess, he nosed out Reagan for the big prize? In any event, it's pretty freaking clear that "special case" means "republican" or "non-liberal".

Your last source is Irish Times. Your link didn't work, but I'm guessing that some Irish writer concluded that Bush was the worst president. While I'm not sure why some Irish guy's opinion is important, since we're entertaining foreign assessments now, I'd recommend that you look for other sources on Al-Jazeera or maybe an Al-Quaida internet link. Just a hunch, but I'd bet they'll go way past just calling Bush the worst president ever and give you some ammunition that he's actually Satan in disguise. ;)

Has anyone seen the president series that has been running on the History Channel. Its amazing how many presidents were chastise, and codemn while in office only to be revered later on in history. Jefferson was so fed up with the presidency that its not even mentioned on his tombstone. Obama has made history, no doubt about that. But what happens if he fails, if the country's economy worsens? And if, god forbids, there is another terrorists attack on US soil? Is it all his fault? In my opinion the modern president is little more than a talking head for his political party and lobbyists. I wish Mr. Obama all the luck in the world, for the sake of our country. We may not agree with his views or politics, but one man will not be the end of the USA. It took more than one to build this country and it will take even more to take it down.

So i was reading through some of the posts on the thread 12 noon just a little while ago, and i seen quite a few people doggin my man Bush....here is my response.....

Liberals cry about how Bush messed up with Iraq...but they failed to see that Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, the Governments of France Russia and Germany (all who are liberal) all say that Saddam has weapons of mass destruction and he needs to be disarmed. Now how is it that liberals blame everything on Bush when it was liberals that made the point that he had WMD's in the first place?!?! Either way it went, liberals were going to be blaming Bush. If he didnt go into Iraq, they would say "Well he obviously doesnt care about the American people because he didnt want to keep us safe!" Hey liberal...aren't you glad that you are safe right now??? But since he did go, liberals still find a way to cry about how he messed up. Liberals have spent the last 8 years dropping wood at the feet of Bush while the rest of the country burns...In my opinion yall, Bush was in a pretty tight pickle and he did what he could to get out of it...and I think that he did a fine job with what he had to work with.

Different point time.......

So one thing that I hear all the time is do I hope Obama succeeds? Of course I want him to succeed im not a hater. Thats what sets me apart from liberals. Liberals have spent the last 8 years for their lives talking about how terrible Bush is. Im not going to sit and pout for the next 4-8 years because I dont like Obama. I am praying for Obama. I pray that he has a change of heart with his tax plan, with his opinion on the second amendment, with planned parenthood, and the list goes on and on. I hope that he can bring America out of the crisis that we are in, but I hope that he "Changes" the way that he is planning on doing it...

I pray that he has a change of heart with his tax plan, with his opinion on the second amendment, with planned parenthood, and the list goes on and on. I hope that he can bring America out of the crisis that we are in, but I hope that he "Changes" the way that he is planning on doing it...

I think you feel the same way as most conservatives. I want Obama to succeed in making the country a better place, but I want his policies to fail because I do not agree with them. That's the difference between us and liberals. Liberals wanted the country to fail under Bush. They took joy in seeing the financial markets crash and seeing Americans die on 9/11, and in Iraq after that. They blame Bush for ALL of it. Liberals hate America, and they will support anyone (Obama) who seeks to tear down the things that have made this country great.

I'm kind of shocked you guys are not torn up about the comment of , "When whites will embrace what is right" made yesterday by Dr. Joseph Lowery. Talk about a total slap in the face to whites after we elected our first black President.

Ok folks I am conservative without a doubt but surely we can all HOPE that he is going to do great things for this country. I don't know if he will or won't but I can assure you that I am wishing him and the rest of the country nothing but the best. If anyone out there is hoping he will fail in his efforts to fix the country well then you're an idiot....

Great post Natty. I didn't realize that hanging around some of "US" intellectuals at the wing ding rubbed off on you that much.:D Any new comments on telecheck?;)

I agree with the old black dude. Its about time white saw it right:eek:

So for the past 232 years or so "whites saw it wrong" I suppose?????? Interesting considering the USA position in the entire world during that time frame....

Well, it's been almost two days now and the Messiah still hasn't solved the salmonella tainted peanut butter crisis and Whooping Cough is still spreading. I was led to believe he could just say "Salmonella and Whooping Cough, go away" or maybe "Salmonella and Whooping Cough, only affect gun owners and the wealthy". I can't tell you how surprised and disappointed I am. I thought he could fix everything.

trust me

Give him time, give him time. He spent the first day fixing global warming. I know it's true because it was 12 degrees at my house this morning.

Well I sure didn't vote for OBAMA, but I wish him the best for our country's sake, although I hope Obamy remembers "Hope is not a plan and failure is not an option."

Dude,,, I was totally being sarcastic with that.

I completed butchered that quote though. I was referring to that old fool Lowery, who said that "whites embrace what is right"

I hope that guy gets mugged and bludgeoned by some gangbangers in DC.

Anyway, when he made that comment, the camera went to Obama and you could tell he was not comfortable with it. I think he knew it was out of line and not the right time or place for that crap. It then panned to the crowd and I saw white people giving this guy an "AMEN". I hope they get mugged by the same gangbangers.

like all the non-white countries out there that are so great by the way!

i can't think of one non-white country out there that would be worth a darn to live in. aren't pretty much all non-white countries third world for the most part?

the white male is the most evil thing known to earth. are we seeing the beginnings of what the jews in germany witnessed?

I don't know how many of you listen to Rush, but yesterday he was playing a sound bite of Obama. It was Fox's Major Garrett asking Obama the specifics of his executive order to close Gitmo. Both times, Obama had to stop and ask his lawyer! His lawyer, Greg Craig, had to explain it to him. HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HIS OWN EXECUTIVE ORDER! Had this been Bush, it would have been all over the news, SNL, ect... Can you say PUPPET?
